Example: Configuring the character conversion table for the PT 88/89

The printer is initialized for the international character set. It also contains the character sets of

other languages, among them German.

You want to print the following: 1. The character "Ä" (5B

of the German character set)

The character with the ASCII code "5B

" "[" of the

international character set must be converted.

2. The character "Ö" (5C

of the German character set)

The character with the ASCII code "5C

" "\" of the

international character set must be converted.

Selecting the German character set: 1B

[ASCII character:ESC(K]

Selecting the international character set: 1B
