Most programs appear on the screen in the form of a window or of a dia-

log box. A window is a working area, a dialog box is a type of form with

input fields, selection lists etc. Individual commands of a program can in

their turn open dialog boxes. This is how Pocket Word, for example, al-

lows you to find text. A dialog box is opened which then enables you to

enter the search criteria.
